Oster and Associates to Host Webinar for Event Planners
Advertising and PR firm will share best practices for incorporating social media into PR for an event

SAN DIEGO (Aug. 11, 2016) — Oster and Associates, a San Diego-based full-service advertising and public relations (PR) agency, has announced a new, free webinar titled “Incorporating Social Media into a PR Plan for an Event,” in which the agency will provide some of the top PR tactics to make an event a social media success.

During this upcoming webinar, the Oster and Associates team will cover: 

  • The importance of a positive social media presence
  • How to build buzz as your event approaches
  • Managing attendee feedback during and after your event
  • How to engage with media using social media
  • Tips on protecting your brand on social media to make your event a success

“Social media is an important component to an event’s public relations plan,” said Karin Salas, Oster and Associates vice president. “An event’s presence on social media can shape how it’s perceived by consumers, causing it to be a success or a bust. This is why it’s so important to create a social media plan as a component of your event’s PR plan.”

The webinar will be led by Hannah Martine, Oster and Associates public relations specialist. Martine has experience in full-service advertising agencies as well as in-house marketing work for nonprofit and for profit organizations. She holds a Bachelors in Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia and a Masters in Communications Management from the University of Southern California, with her research focused on social media engagement. A member of the American Marketing Association (San Diego chapter) and Toastmasters International, her expertise is in helping clients integrate online and social media platforms into their strategic marketing plans.
