Oster and Associates is pleased to announce the addition of Patty Zamora to its team. Zamora recently joined the San Diego-based full-service branding and public relations agency as a public relations (PR) specialist.

Zamora, a bilingual San Diego native, graduated from the University of California, San Diego (UCSD) with a bachelor’s degree in communications and earned a marketing versus social media certificate from there. Her professional background spans more than two decades and includes serving 15 years in corporate communications roles inside the healthcare and biotech industries, among others.

“We are very happy to have a seasoned communications professional like Patty join our firm,” said Bev Oster, president and creative director of Oster and Associates. “Her robust background in the biotech industry and extensive PR experience are undeniable assets to help us grow our foothold in this industry as well as provide even more valuable expertise for all of our clients.”

Prior to joining Oster and Associates, Zamora was most recently a PR consultant where she worked with brands in the medical, design and international charter cruise industries. She initially began her career in television news serving various newsroom roles with CNN, first at the news organization’s world headquarters in Atlanta and then in its Los Angeles bureau. Zamora returned home to San Diego by transitioning into the PR world where she worked with agencies such as The Townsend Agency and Fleishman-Hillard, joined local corporate giant Qualcomm and followed that up with stints at Novatel Wireless (now Inseego) and Life Technologies (now Thermo Fisher Scientific) before becoming a consultant. 

Zamora looks forward to joining a well-established agency such as Oster and Associates where she can be a valuable team contributor and make a positive impact on the firm’s diverse growth.
