Oster and Associates is excited to announce the continuation of its internship program by bringing on two talented interns for spring 2018.

Alexica Rogel will graduate from San Diego State University in May and receive her bachelor’s degree in journalism with an emphasis in advertising and a minor in art.

This is Rogel’s first internship, so she is eager to learn about the advertising industry with a focus on public relations, social media and engaging audiences with interactive strategies.

Marie Derwa comes to the agency from Liege, Belgium. She will graduate in June from IHECS with a master’s degree in public relations with an emphasis in digital communications. Derwa has prior experience writing news and lifestyle columns for a newspaper in Belgium.

“We’re glad to bring on two great interns this spring,” said Bev Oster, president of Oster and Associates. “We embrace the opportunity to share our knowledge and experience with people looking to enter the advertising industry.”

Rogel looks forward to a career in research and communications at an advertising agency, while Derwa is interested in working with social influencers and brand ambassadors in the fashion and lifestyle industry.

When not at work, you’ll find Derwa shopping, baking, watching various television series and staying active. Rogel likes to spend her free time teaching herself new skills, getting creative with arts and crafts and relaxing with her dog. She gets by with her motto: “Be passionate about your work and be open to change. Going with the flow will make all the difference!”
