Gold Coast Packing is a California-based, vertically-integrated grower, packer and processor of fresh vegetables and herbs. Founded in 1978, the family-owned and operated company is big enough to compete with produce industry giants yet agile enough to accommodate special requests made by their customers. The food service industry and retailers around the country are their primary customers. Consumers can also impact what retailers ask for Gold Coast Packing to provide. We identified those customers early on to help us strategize and plan how to best increase awareness for them in the produce industry.
Plant With Purpose, a San Diego-based Christian environmental organization founded in 1984, is dedicated to alleviating rural poverty, environmental restoration and spiritual renewal around the world. The group’s customers include a wide range of people in the nine countries (Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, Dominican Republic, Ethiopia, Haiti, Malawi, Mexico, Tanzania and Thailand) where they currently operate, the faith community, global development and philanthropists. By knowing who their customers are, it helps us better position them within the local community and when reaching out to trade media to cover potential stories which promote all the great work that the organization has done over the past 40 years.
