Oster and Associates recently sent a couple team members to attend MJBizCon (Marijuana Business Conference) in Las Vegas. The trade show is the largest cannabis industry event of the year and is THE place to see and be seen when it comes to working in and around cannabis. This year’s event attracted over 35,000 attendees from more than 75 countries to discuss all things cannabis – including CBD and THC, hemp and marijuana.
If you’ve ever been to a major trade show, MJBizCon is very similar in nature. However, where the real business takes place is during the parties, mixers and private gatherings once the exhibit floor closes for the day. Networking is the key to success in business and the cannabis world is no exception.
Relationships take time to build and spending additional time with prospective business partners away from the exhibit hall can help strengthen a connection that might just become a long-lasting client. Make sure to have your 30-second elevator pitch perfected prior to attending and don’t forget to pack some extra business cards because you never know who, where or when you might bump into that next great contact.
For any assistance with polishing up your idea pitch, designing a trade show booth that really stands out from the crowd, or printing up enough of those all important business cards, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the Oster and Associates team. We’ve been helping brands build all aspects of their businesses since 1986 and we look forward to making 2020 your best year yet.
